Abandoned NY Route 17 Pavement
Old path of NY 17, just north of the NJ state line. The former northbound
lanes (left) appear to have been used later than the southbound lanes.
Other than the weeds the concrete is in excellent shape.
Odd mix of old and new styles of Massachusetts "little green signs" - the
route numbers are in rectangles/shields which is new style, yet the arrows
are through, not below, the numbers which is old style.
Black-on-orange I-90 shield and Mass. Turnpike Pilgrim "hat" sign. At I-90
and new MA 146 interchange.
Black on yellow "A" sign used by Connecticut to divert traffic around jammed
I-91/I-84 interchange, for those trying to get from I-91 NB to I-84 eastbound.
Despite the picture the black and yellow colors are the "standard" ones.
