Route 123 Ends

South End, at Mass. State Line, Mason

South end of NH 123 in Mason at the Massachusetts state line, looking north.

Looking south into Massachusetts. The road continues on into Massachusetts as an unnumbered town road.

The two local roads that become NH 123 and NH 124 across the state line meet here in Townsend Mass. These roads were probably more important in older times, and this 1800s version of the "Big Green Sign" directed travelers.

Massachusetts guide sign directing one to NH 123 and NH 124 from MA 119. Massachusetts makes no attempt to reproduce the "Old Man" shield here.

North End, Route 12, Walpole

On bridge over Connecticut River, looking toward state line at far end of the bridge. Interestingly, the route log shows NH 123 ending at NH 12 in Walpole. Obviously this bridge is signed as NH 123, which would mean NH 123 continues multiplexed with NH 12 to this bridge to end at the state line.

At state line, putative end of NH 123, looking into Vermont.
