NH 113B End Photos

NH 113B is an odd route. It's not a spur of NH 113 nor does it get all that near it. Instead, it's a branch of Maine's State Route 113, which also crosses into New Hampshire.

South End, Maine Route 113, Stow, ME

Southern junction of Maine SR 113 and NH 113 (straight ahead). This is in Stow Maine.

Route shield. Standard New Hampshire issue, even though it's in Maine.

Looking the other way at junction with Maine SR 113.

Pavement change at state line, entering New Hampshire. New Hampshire must maintain the road only to the state line. Who maintains Maine's portion? It may be a town (of Stow) road.

Looking the other way (into Maine) at state line. No pavement markings on the Maine portion. Must be town maintained.

Weatherbeaten JUNCTION [113] sign, on Maine's stretch of NH 113.

North End, Maine Route 113, Maine State Line, Chatham

North end of NH 113B, at Maine SR 113. This junction is right at the state line, and at this point Maine 113 enters New Hampshire as it goes north, or from right to left.

Looking northward along ME 113. It's in New Hampshire here. State line markers are next to the speed limit sign.

Looking south along NH 113B from its north end.

Looking south along ME 113, where it crosses into Maine.

ME 113 enters Maine on the left, NH 113B goes to the right. The pavement seam is continuous from NH 113B to ME 113 in New Hampshire, indicating New Hampshire maintains ME 113 while it's in New Hampshire.
